John Mozetti
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1/4 green pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. marjoram
- pepper to taste
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
- 1 (4 oz.) or more jar sliced mushrooms
- 1 small can water chestnuts, sliced
- thin slices processed cheese (I use Velveeta)
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. medium noodles
- Put a tablespoon or so of oil (can be olive oil) or drippings in heavy skillet.
- Heat and then add ground beef; cook until lightly browned.
- Add onion, green pepper and seasonings and continue cooking until vegetables are tender.
- Add soup and tomatoes; simmer for 15 or 20 minutes.
- Add water chestnuts. Check seasonings.
- You may prefer to add a little more garlic powder, pepper, etc.
