  1. Put a tablespoon or so of oil (can be olive oil) or drippings in heavy skillet.
  2. Heat and then add ground beef; cook until lightly browned.
  3. Add onion, green pepper and seasonings and continue cooking until vegetables are tender.
  4. Add soup and tomatoes; simmer for 15 or 20 minutes.
  5. Add water chestnuts. Check seasonings.
  6. You may prefer to add a little more garlic powder, pepper, etc.
