Chocolate Dipped Creams
- 1 cup butter, unsalted softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour, all-purpose sifted
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 18 tablespoon salt
- 1 x powdered sugar for rolling
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 x nuts chopped, as needed
- 1 x powdered sugar as needed
- 1 x jimmies as needed
- Preheat the oven to 375F (190C).
- Cream the butter with the sugar.
- Add the vanilla.
- Sift the flour, cornstarch and salt together.
- Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
- Chill the dough for about one hour.
- Shape teaspoons of the dough into balls.
- Place on greased cookie sheets.
- Bake the cookies about 12 minutes or until set and lightly brown on the bottom.
- Remove to a rack and cool.
- Roll cookies in powdered sugar.
- Dip tops in melted chocolate and then in nuts, sugars, or jimmies.
- Allow the chocolate to set.
- Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
