Hippity-Hoppity Treats

  1. Microwave margarine and marshmallows at HIGH (100%) in large glass mixing bowl for 2 minutes.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Microwave at HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 minutes longer.
  4. Stir until smooth.
  5. Add cereal.
  6. Stir until well coated.
  7. Quickly divide warm mixture into 12 portions on buttered surface (about 1/2 cup each).
  8. With buttered hands, shape as desired.
  9. Roll warm shapes in candy sprinkles.
  10. Re-warm individual treats in the microwave oven for up to 10 seconds, if needed, for easier handling.
  11. Insert wooden sticks, if making pops.
  12. If making mini-baskets, mixture can be reshaped as they cool.
  13. Cool completely.
  14. Cover tightly.
  15. If using Easter baskets, wrap individual treats in clear plastic wrap.
