Stairwell Stew (Crockpot)
- 2 lb. stew meat, trimmed of excess fat and cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 can (2 lb.) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms
- 2 to 3 stalks celery, sliced
- 4 to 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- minced
- 1 tbsp. flour *
- 1 tbsp. water
- Shredded mozzerella cheese
- Put all ingredients except flour, water and cheese into Crockpot.
- Cook on low 8-10 hours (recommended) or high 4-5 hours.
- 30 minutes before serving, turn crockpot to high setting.
- Mix water and flour together, add to crockpot and let simmer until stew is thickened.
- Serve with shredded mozzerella on top.
