Steak Milanesa Sandwiches
- Mango Pico de Gallo
- 2 cups mangos, small diced
- 1 cup pears, small diced
- 1/2 cup plum tomatoes, small diced
- 1/2 cup red onions, minced
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 4 tsp. garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. fresh jalapeno peppers, minced
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Breaded Steaks
- 16 pieces beef top round steaks, cut into 4-oz. pieces
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 qt. all-purpose flour
- 8 each eggs, beaten
- 1 qt. panko bread crumbs
- Sandwich Assembly
- 1 cup PURE KRAFT Mayonnaise
- 16 each bolillo rolls, split
- 1 qt. shredded cabbage
- 2 cups GREY POUPON Rouge Dijon Mustard
- Mango Pico de Gallo: Combine ingredients.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Breaded Steaks: Pound steaks to 1/4-inch thickness.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Dredge in flour, dip in eggs, then in bread crumbs.
- Heat 1/4 inch oil in pan.
- Fry steaks 3 to 4 min.
- on each side or until golden brown.
- Sandwich Assembly: Spread 1 Tbsp.
- mayo on bottom half of roll.
- Top with 1/4 cup cabbage, 1 fried steak and 1/4 cup Mango Pico de Gallo.
- Spread 2 Tbsp.
- mustard on top half of roll; place on sandwich.
