tortillas de maiz ( corn tortillas)
- 2 cup maseca
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- combine all ingredients and mix until soft dough is formed
- roll dough into 16 equal size balls, place one ball at a time in press until tortilla measures about 5" in diameter.
- prepare tortilla press and 2 pieces of plastic .
- on ungreased griddle or comal cook tortillas about 1 min on each side.
- cover cooked tortillas with a cloth to keep warm
