Smothered Cabbage and Collard Greens
- 1 Whole Sweet Onion
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 head Cabbage
- 1 bunch Collard Greens Or Greens Already Cut Up
- 1 1/2 lb Bacon
- 1 Onion Powder, Adobo, Seasoned Salt, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper
- 1 1/2 cup olive oil
- Cut up the Bacon.
- Chop the bacon in half, then the halves in half.
- Then cut up your Onion and Garlic.
- Add Bacon, Onion, and Garlic to a pot with a 1/4 cup of oil.
- Cook until Onions are soft and the Bacon has some color.
- Add the cleaned Collard Greens to with the Bacon, Onion, Oil, and Garlic.
- Cook for 10mins.
- After 10mins, add the Cabbage.
- Season to taste with all your seasonings.
- As the greens become softer, taste to be sure its to your desire.
