Loaded Potato Bar
- 6 whole Idaho Or Russet Potatoes
- 6 teaspoons Butter, Or 1 Teaspoon For Each Potato
- 4 bunches Broccoli Cut Into Florets
- 8 slices Bacon
- 4 sprigs Green Onion, Chopped, To Serve
- 1 cup Sour Cream, To Serve
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 1 cup Milk
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Cheese
- Place cleaned and pricked potatoes in aluminum foil.
- Add 1 teaspoon butter on each and wrap with foil.
- Place in oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour, or until soft.
- While potatoes are baking, steam broccoli and fry bacon.
- For the homemade cheese sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add flour and whisk for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in milk.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir and cook until thickened, about 45 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add cheese.
- Stir until melted and smooth.
- Serve immediately on top over potatoes, along with steamed broccoli, crumbled bacon, green onions, sour cream, and any of your favorite fixins!
