Spicy Beef Pita Sandwiches

  1. Cut beef into 1/2-inch wide strips.
  2. Combine dressing, green onion and mustard in medium size bowl.
  3. Add roast beef and peppers; mix well.
  4. Cover; chill several hours or overnight, stirring occasionally.
  5. Immediately before serving, drain beef mixture, reserving dressing.
  6. Add cheese to drained beef mixture, tossing lightly.
  7. Combine mayonnaise with reserved dressing; mix well.
  8. Open pita bread halves; line with lettuce and tomato.
  9. Fill with beef and cheese mixture.
  10. Top each with mayonnaise mixture and sprouts, if desired.
  11. Serve immediately.
  12. Makes 12 sandwich halves.
