Double Chocolate Dips
- 2 sq. (2 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 5 sq. (5 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts (optional)
- In a heavy small saucepan heat 2 squares chocolate over low heat until melted, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and cool. In a large mixer bowl beat butter or margarine until softened. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
- Add milk, vanilla and cooled, melted chocolate. Beat well.
- Add flour and beat until well mixed.
- Using about 1 tablespoon of dough for each cookie shape into a 2 x 1/2-inch log.
- Curve slightly to form a crescent shape. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake in a 325u0b0 oven about 18 minutes or until done.
- Remove and cool.
