Guilt-free Baked Onion Rings
- 1 whole Onion
- 1 whole Egg
- 3 Tablespoons Shop-bought Breadcrumbs
- 1 Tablespoon Parmesan Cheese, Grated
- 1 teaspoon Mixed Dried Herbs
- Salt And Pepper
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C (Gas Mark 6 / 400 degrees F).
- Peel the onion and chop into thin slices.
- Separate each slice into its individual rings.
- In a bowl, lightly beat the egg.
- In a separate bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, parmesan and herbs, and season with salt and a lot of black pepper.
- Dip each ring of onion in the egg, and then into the breadcrumb mixture.
- Lay on a lightly greased baking tray and bake for 30 minutes, turning halfway.
