Cheesy Chicken Cacciatore Pasta Skillet
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 large green pepper, cut into strips
- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1-1/2 cups CLASSICO FAMILY FAVORITES Traditional Pasta Sauce
- 2 cups water
- 2-1/2 cups penne pasta, uncooked
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Shredded Italian* Five Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA, divided
- 2 Tbsp. thinly sliced fresh basil
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add chicken, peppers and mushrooms; cook 3 min.
- or until chicken is evenly browned, stirring frequently.
- Add pasta sauce and water; stir.
- Bring to boil.
- Stir in pasta; cover.
- Simmer on medium heat 6 min.
- ; stir.
- Cook, covered, on medium-low heat 6 min.
- or until pasta is tender.
- Stir in 1 cup cheese; cook, uncovered, 2 min.
- or until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese and basil.
- Remove from heat.
- Let stand, covered, 5 min.
