Georgia Peanut Butter Pie
- 1 each pie shell (9 inch)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs separated
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/4 cup peanuts chopped
- Preheat oven to 375F (190C).
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, milk, peanut butter, vanilla and egg yolks.
- Beat on low speed until well blended.
- In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the peanut butter mixture.
- Spoon the mixture into the pie crust.
- Bake at 375F (190C).
- for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Cover with whipped cream, and garnish with chopped nuts.
- Chill.
