Blackthorn

• 1 to 1 1/2 ounces sloe gin
• 1 to 1 1/2 ounces sweet vermouth
• 2 dashes orange bitters
• 3 or 4 ice cubes
• Twist lemon peel
• Maraschino cherry

1. Combine all ingredients, except the lemon peel and cherry, in a mixing glass.
2. Stir well and strain into a cocktail glass.
3. Decorate with peel and cherry.
