Barbecue Sauce All Purpose Recipe

  2. In a non-aluminum saucepan heat butter for mushrooms, add in mushrooms and cook till tender about 8-10 min, they shouldn't be completely cooked.

  4. Set aside.

  6. Using food processor with metal blade: While processor is running, add in garlic cloves one at a time, and keep running till garlic sticks to side of processor bowl, stop processor.

  8. Add in quartered onion, and process till pcs are about 1/4 inch in size, remove.

  10. Add in quartered green pepper, and chop to same size as onions.
  11. 6.
  12. Put all ingredients in saucepan, except seasonings, mix well.
  13. Bring to boil, and reduce heat.
  14. 7.
  15. Add in seasonings, and simmer 30 min or possibly more if you like.

  17. Adjust salt

  19. During the cooking time you may want to cook covered or possibly uncovered, depending upon desired thickness of the sauce.

  21. Adjust seasoning.
  22. Baste meat with sauce while BBQ'ing.
  23. This sauce is great for BBQ'd chicken, spareribs, pork chops, and sliced pork.
  24. Hint: When adding seasonings add in salt first, stop when you can just barely taste the salt.
  25. Now add in pepper to taste.
  26. Add in remaining spices/herbs.
  27. Adjust spices to your taste.
  28. Serve additional sauce with the meat.
  29. Freeze leftover sauce, it will keep frzn for months.
