Mocha Nut Bread
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/4 cup instant coffee granules
- 1-1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- walnuts
- Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl, stir well.
- Combine sour cream, eggs and butter in a large bowl, stir well.
- Add flour mixture to sour cream mixture, stirring until blended.
- Stir in chocolate morsels and, if desired, pecans.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
- Bake at 350F for 50 to 55 minutes or until top appears glazed and sides pull away from pan.
- Let cool in pan 10 minutes, remove and let cool completely on a wire rack.
