Crispy and sweet ikan bilis
- 50 grams ikan bilis (dried anchovies), get the unpeeled version
- 2 1/2 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 tsp white sugar
- This is what ikan bilis (dried anchovies) looks like before cooked.
- Heat cooking oil in frying pan using low heat.
- Stir fry ikan bilis for about 5 minutes till crispy and browned but not burned.
- Turn off the heat and remove frying pan from stove.
- This is to stop heat from building up.
- Sprinkle sugar over ikan bilis.
- Turn on low heat.
- Stir fry the ikan bilis for 1 minute till evenly coated with sugar.
- Making sure sugar don't get burned.
- Ready to serve as snack or with porridge.
