Crispy and sweet ikan bilis

  1. This is what ikan bilis (dried anchovies) looks like before cooked.
  2. Heat cooking oil in frying pan using low heat.
  3. Stir fry ikan bilis for about 5 minutes till crispy and browned but not burned.
  4. Turn off the heat and remove frying pan from stove.
  5. This is to stop heat from building up.
  6. Sprinkle sugar over ikan bilis.
  7. Turn on low heat.
  8. Stir fry the ikan bilis for 1 minute till evenly coated with sugar.
  9. Making sure sugar don't get burned.
  10. Ready to serve as snack or with porridge.
