Barbecued Chicken On A Bun Recipe

  1. Place whole chicken in large kettle, cover with water, heat to boiling and simmer till chicken is cooked, about 1 hour.
  2. Remove chicken from pan, cold and shred meat from bones.
  3. In large saucepan, combine ketchup, water, onion, salt, celery seed, chili pwdr, brown sugar, Tabasco, Worcestershire and vinegar.
  4. Add in shredded chicken.
  5. Simmer chicken in sauce for 1 1/2 hrs.
  6. Serve hot on rolls.
  7. 6 servings.
