Classic Macaroni & Cheese

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  3. Drain.
  4. Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan until sizzling; stir in flour, mustard and onion powder.
  5. Add half & half; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 5-7 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens.
  6. Reduce heat to low; stir in cheese.
  7. Cook 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  8. Add cooked macaroni; mix well.
  9. Spoon into ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
  10. Sprinkle with cornflakes.
  11. Bake 30-35 minutes or until heated through.
