Flora's Penne Pasta W/Meaty Marinara Sauce Recipe
- 1 pound grnd sirloin steak
- 1 whole green bell pepper, minced
- 1 pound (10 ounce) jar of chunky Ragu (tomato,garlic,&onion) marinara sauce
- 1 packet of Sazon Goya
- 1 (5 ounce) jar of green olives, liquid removed
- 1 pound Barilla penne pasta
- Start by boiling a pot of water, add in penne pasta and cook as directed or possibly till desired tenderness (do not add in salt).
- Meanwhile, put the grnd sirloin in a frying pan (on medium high heat) and cook till done.
- Add in the bell peppers cook 1-2 min.
- Add in the marinara sauce, Sazon Goya and the green olives (heat to a boil).
- Cover frying pan and reduce heat.
- Simmer 10 min, stirring occasionally.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain well and place pasta in a large bowl.
- Top with meat marinara sauce.
- Serves 4-6 family members or possibly guests.
