New Potatoes and Pork with Rich Butter Soy Sauce

  1. Make small cuts in between the fat and meat of the pork slices.
  2. Sprinkle the pork with 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  3. Press the salt into the meat.
  4. Cut each slice of pork into 4-5 pieces.
  5. Wash the potatoes well, wrap in plastic wrap with the skins on, and microwave for about 3 minutes at 500w.
  6. When the potatoes have cooled down, cut into 1 cm slices with the skins on.
  7. Put butter in a pan (over low heat since butter burns easily!
  8. ).
  9. Add garlic.
  10. Cook over low heat until fragrant.
  11. Raise the heat to medium and add the pork.
  12. Brown for about 4 minutes on each side.
  13. Take the pork out and saute the potato slices in the same pan.
  14. Put the pork back in the pan and add 2 teaspoons of soy sauce, 2 teaspoons of mirin, and mix.
  15. Serve!
