Rice Stuffed Turkey - Hashwat Rizz

  1. Rub lemon juice and 2 tsps.
  2. of salt on the turkey, inside and outside.
  3. Keep aside.
  4. Melt 6 tbsps.
  5. butter in a saucepan.
  6. Add the meat and saute on medium flame for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Fold in onions, garlic, corriander leaves and the small red pepper.
  8. Stir-fry for 10 minutes.
  9. Fold in 1 teaspoons salt, thyme, rosemary, corriander seeds, allspice, rice, 2 cups of water and half of the following: sage, pepper, cinnamon and ginger.
  10. Bring to a boil.
  11. Cover and reduce heat to low.
  12. Simmer for 15 minutes and stir every 3 minutes.
  13. Remove from heat.
  14. Fold in the almonds.
  15. Stuff the turkey including the neck opening and then sew and place it in a roaster.
  16. Prepare a basting juice by combining 4 tbsps.
  17. butter, sage, pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and the remaining water.
  18. Baste turkey with this mixture.
  19. Cover and bake in a 350F pre-heated oven for 2 1/2 hours.
  20. Baste every 20 minutes.
  21. Uncover and turn the turkey over.
  22. Baste and bake for 2 more hours or until the turkey is cooked.
  23. Remember to baste every 20 minutes.
  24. Prepare a sauce by adding the remaining 2 tbsps.
  25. butter to the juice in the pan.
  26. Serve the turkey with the sauce.
  27. As a side dish, you may serve mashed potatoes, peas and corn and cranberry sauce(recipes posted separately).
