Grilled Chicken Sausage, Onions, and Pepper Sandwich
- 2 whole Onion, Sliced Thin
- 3 whole Peppers
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 6 whole Chicken Sausages
- 6 loaves (Individual Size) Italian Bread
- Balsamic Vinegar And/or Light Butter, For The Bread (optional)
- Preheat grill to medium heat.
- Spray sliced onions and whole peppers with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season with oregano, garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.
- Place veggies on grill and turn occasionally until cooked through, usually no more than 15 minutes.
- Place chicken sausages on the grill and cook, turning occasionally, until cooked through, about 1012 minutes.
- Add bread and grill until lightly toasted.
- If desired, drizzle bread with balsamic vinegar or spread with butter.
- Add sausages, onions, and peppers.
- Serve.
