AfternoonTea Scones

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar replacement.
  2. Cut in cold margarine as for pie crust.
  3. Beat egg and evaporated milk together thoroughly; into flour mixture.
  4. Knead gently on lightly floured board.
  5. Divide the dough in half; roll each half into a circles.
  6. Cut them into quarters.
  7. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  8. Brush tops with milk.
  9. Bake at 450F (230C).
  10. for 15 minutes or until done.
  11. Serve warm scones with butter, jam and tea if desired.
