Iron Rich Quick Bread
- 1 cup flour, all-purpose
- 1 cup whole wheat flour whole wheat
- 2 tablespoons wheat germ
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup raisins, seedless
- Combine flours, wheatgerm, baking powder & soda & salt.
- Stir in oats & sugar.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Add raisins.
- Combine oil, molasses & water.
- Add to dry ingredients.
- Stir until thoroughly blended.
- Turn into greased 23x13x7 cm loaf pan.
- Bake at 350F (180C) for 50 minutes.
