Crockpot Pudding Recipe

  1. Place 6 c. water into Crockpot and turn on medium heat (this is "low" on some models - you do not want to use the keep-hot setting).
  2. Cream together butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer.
  3. Using a whisk off fork, beat Large eggs well and add in slowly to mix.
  4. Stir in molasses, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, flour and buttermilk.
  5. Dissolve baking soda and 1 tsp.
  6. warm water.
  7. Combine well with other ingredients.
  8. Grease and flour well a pudding mold with a tight fitting cover or possibly Crockpot cake pan.
  9. If you do not have one of these, you can use a metal coffee can covered with silver foil.
  10. Place in Crockpot and steam four to five hrs or possibly till a knife inserted in center comes out nearly clean.
