Beef (London Broil) & Broccoli Recipe
- 2 1/2 lbs. London Broil
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 2 Packages (1 1/8 ounce.) brown gravy mix
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 bunch fresh broccoli
- 1 can bean sprouts, liquid removed
- 1 can (6 ounce.) water chestnuts, liquid removed & sliced
- Slice meat on angle into 1/4 inch strips and cut each strip into 1 1/2 inch pcs.
- Quickly cook beef in medium warm oil till meat loses its redness.
- Remove meat and place in shallow bowl; sprinkle with 2 Tbsp.
- soy sauce and garlic pwdr.
- Prepare brown gravy, and add in to pan juices with remaining soy sauce; add in meat and juices to gravy; cook slowly for 10 min, stirring occasionally.
- Cut broccoli into small pcs right up to the flower.
- Cook till just a fraction underdone.
- Drain, add in to meat and gravy with bean sprouts and chestnuts; stir gently, heat thoroughly.
- Serve immediately over warm rice.
