Sweet-Spicy Sweet Potato and Pork

  1. Chop the sweet potatoes roughly into small sizes, and the pork into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Discard the stiff roots of the shimeji mushrooms and shred them apart.
  3. Heat some oil (unlisted) in a pot and cook the pork.
  4. Here, I used a block of pork shoulder roast.
  5. Add sweet potatoes to the pot from step 2.
  6. Add shimeji mushrooms and ingredients - in listed order - to the pot from step 3.
  7. Cover the pot and simmer over medium to high heat.
  8. Stir-up from the bottom while cooking.
  9. It's done when the sauce has reduced Scatter some green scallions if you wish.
  10. If you set it aside briefly with a lid on, the flavor really soaks in.
