Barley Salad

  1. Put barley, water, and vegetable base in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Cook covered on low heat for 45 minutes to an hour.
  4. The water should be absorbed into the barley.
  5. Mince onion.
  6. Dice tomatoes.
  7. Place in mixing bowl.
  8. Combine cooked barley and remaining ingredients in the mixing bowl with the onion and tomatoes.
  9. Stir and serve!
