Hearty Vegetable Beef Soup Recipe
- 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. lean grnd beef
- 1-2 tbsp. veg. oil
- 1 tbsp. instant beef bouillon
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 1 can beef bouillon
- 1 c. frzn minced onions
- 1/4 c. raw rice
- 1 (20 ounce.) bag frzn mixed vegetables
- 1 (16 ounce.) can tomato sauce with tomato bits
- 1 (16 ounce.) can stewed seasoned tomatoes
- Brown beef and the onions together in skillet; drain fat.
- In large kettle, start cooking broth and rice.
- Add in seasonings and water equal to the amount of broth; add in beef.
- Bring to boil and cover and simmer gently for 1 hour.
- Add in vegetables, tomatoes and tomato sauce.
- Bring to boil and then simmer for 10 min.
