Amaretto Cream Phyllo Sticks
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Tablespoons Confectioners Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Amaretto Liqueur
- 48 Sheets Frozen Phyllo Dough
- 3/4 sticks Sweet Cream Butter, Melted
- Note: Place frozen phyllo dough in the refrigerator the night before you plan to make these snacks.
- Working with thawed phyllo dough is a job requiring patience, as the sheets are extremely thin.
- However, the end result is so flavorful and worth every minute!
- In a mixing bowl, add cream, sugar, and Amaretto.
- Whip until soft peaks form.
- Refrigerate whipped Amaretto cream until ready to use.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- On a clean work surface dusted with flour or confectioners sugar, lay out one sheet of phyllo dough.
- Use a brush to gently coat with melted butter.
- Add another sheet on top and brush with butter.
- Continue 2 more times (4 sheets thick).
- Layer on some whipped Amaretto cream and smooth out with an offset spatula.
- Carefully roll phyllo dough lengthwise and brush again with melted butter.
- Place on a nonstick baking sheet.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Bake for 12 minutes, keeping an eye on them after 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven when golden brown, Plate and serve.
