Yin yang rice
- 1 cup pigeon pea
- 1 cup rice
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 medium chopped green chillies
- 4 clove garlic
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 medium diced tomato
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- Boil pigeon pea in 3cups of water with tomato, turmeric, salt and sugar until it gets fully dissolved in it and comes to a soup like consistency
- For rice- Heat a teaspoon of oil and add cumin seeds to it and then add rice and 2 cups of water and cook the rice
- For tempering of pigeon pea- heat a spoonfull of oil and add cumin seeds and green chillies and add the tempering to the cooked lentil
- Serve pigeon pea and rice in a yin yang shape
