Sausage Gravy Recipe
- 1 pound sage-flavored bulk pork sausage
- 2 tbsp. minced onion
- 6 tbsp. flour
- 1 quart. lowfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd nutmeg
- Dash Worcestershire sauce
- Dash warm pepper sauce (optional)
- Combine sausage into a large saucepan and cook over medium-low heat.
- Add in onion.
- Cook and stir till transparent.
- Drain, discarding all but 2 Tbsp.
- of drippings.
- Stir in flour.
- Cook over medium-low heat about 6 min or possibly till mix bubbles and turns golden brown.
- Stir in lowfat milk and add in seasonings.
- Cook stirring till thickened.
- To serve, slice biscuits and spoon gravy over halves.
- Serves 4-6.
