Coquito (Traditional Puerto Rican drink)
- 1 can coconut cream
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cup rum (preferably clear so the color doesnt interfere)
- 1 condensed milk
- 1 cinnamon sticks
- 1 shreded coconut or candy cane crumbs
- 1 dash powdered cinnamon or nutmeg
- Mix all ingredients in a blender.
- Leave in refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Serve really cold but do not add ice.
- You may discard the rum if you want, but the flavor wont be the same.
- I would recommend reducing the amount.
- If you have kids you should separate a part for them before you add the rum, and after you separate it, add rum (but according to how much is left).
- FOR THE DECORATION!
- With a cup, dip the tip/upper part with condensed milk and afterwards dip it in shredded coconut or candy cane crumbs (Just mash candy canes with a hammer).
- After you pour the coquito, add a dash of cinnamon powder to add color, and if you want a cinnamon stick for decoration.
- Your guests will be delighted!
