The Best Granola Ever
- 5 cups Rolled Oats
- 1 cup Sunflower Seeds
- 1 cup Coconut
- 1 cup Pepitas
- 3/4 cups Sliced Almonds
- 3/4 cups Walnuts Or Pecans, Or Both
- 1/2 cups Wheat Germ
- 1/4 cups Sesame Seeds
- 2 Tablespoons Ground Flax Seed (optional)
- 3/4 cups Water
- 1/4 cups Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 cups Honey
- 1/4 cups Molasses
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon, Ground
- 3/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees F.
- In a very large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients Rolled Oats through Ground Flax Seed; mix well.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine remaining ingredients Water through Vanilla Extract; mix well with a small whisk.
- Heat until hot, but do not boil.
- When hot, pour syrup over dry ingredients and stir to combine thoroughly.
- Spread Granola on a jelly roll pan or other large cookie sheet-type pan with sides.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 40 45 minutes total, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Store in an airtight container for up to six months.
- *You may add dried fruit, if desired, after the baking process.
