Melon Tequilana

• One 3-by-1-inch rectangle of seedless watermelon, plus 1 watermelon triangle for garnish
• 1/2 teaspoon sugar
• 1 1/2 ounces anejo tequila
• 1 ounce fresh lime juice
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla vodka
• 1 1/2 teaspoons grenadine
• Ice
• 1 to 2 ounces chilled club soda

1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the seedless watermelon rectangle with the sugar.
2. Add the anejo tequila, lime juice, vanilla vodka and grenadine and shake well.
3. Strain the drink into an ice-filled highball glass and top with a large splash of chilled club soda.
4. Garnish the cocktail with the watermelon triangle.
