Rainbow Sandwiches

  1. Mash cheese and milk together.
  2. Divide cheese into thirds Mash and tint 1/3 a pleasing pink, the next green and the next blue.
  3. Spread bread with butter.
  4. Spread 1/3 bread with pink cheese, 1/3 with green and 1/3 with blue.
  5. Stack together, covering with a fourth slice, buttered side down.
  6. Chill in a pan covered with damp tea towel until just before using.
  7. To serve, cut crusts from 4 slice sandwich.
  8. Then cut in half with hot, clean knife.
  9. Cut each half into 7.
  10. This makes 14 small oblong sandwiches for each 4 slices of bread.
  11. If you want them a little bigger, cut each half into 4.
  12. These may also be stacked with 1 more slice by using a fourth filling tinted yellow.
  13. Makes 42.
