Slow-Cooker Hearty Beef Stew

  1. Heat oil in nonstick skillet on medium-high heat.
  2. Add meat, in batches; cook until evenly browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Layer carrots, onions and potatoes in bottom of 5-qt.
  4. slow cooker; top with meat.
  5. Pour 1/2 cup barbecue sauce over meat; sprinkle with coffee granules.
  6. Cover with lid.
  7. Cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 5 hours).
  8. Stir in peas and remaining barbecue sauce; cover.
  9. Cook 15 min.
  10. or until heated through.
