Caipi-Wine Pinga
- 1 lime, preferably Key lime, rinsed
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 cup red wine, preferably merlot
- 2 ounces (1/4 cup) cachaca
- Cut a thin slice off top and bottom of lime.
- Quarter lime and cut out pithy white core.
- Place lime quarters in a cocktail shaker, add sugar and mash with a muddler.
- Add 4 ice cubes and stir.
- Add wine and cachaca, shake and pour into an old-fashioned glass.
