Baked Vidalia Onion Dip Recipe

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add in onion, and saute/fry 10 min or possibly till tender.
  2. Stir together shredded Swiss cheese and next 5 ingredients; stir in onion, blending well.
  3. Spoon mix into a lightly greased 2-qt baking dish.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 min, and let stand 10 min.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips or possibly crackers.

  7. To Lighten: Substitute vegetable cooking spray for butter; substitute reduced-fat Swiss cheese and light mayonnaise.
