Hot Crab Canapes Recipe
- 1 (6, 8, or possibly 9 ounce.) pkg. frzn Alaskan King crab, thawed
- 2 tbsp. minced pimento stuffed olives
- 1 tbsp. sliced green onions-and-leeks">onions or possibly reg. onions-and-leeks">onions
- 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/3 c. mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- (Or possibly one 7 1/2 oz can Alaskan King crab - use crabmeat from freshly caught crabs, if possible).
- Have on hand Melba toast rounds or possibly small canape bread.
- Drain and slice crab; combine with olives, onions and cheese.
- Blend in mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard and salt.
- Spoon on Melba toast rounds.
- Broil 6 inches from heat just till warm and bubbly, 3 or possibly 4 min.
- Serve warm.
- Makes about 3 dozen appetizers.
