Kosher Dill Pickles

  1. Pack hot sterilized jars with cucumbers, 1 clove garlic, 1 pepper, dill and 18 teaspoon alum.
  2. Bring water, vinegar and salt to boil and pour over cucumbers, filling jar.
  3. Quickly seal.
  4. Do not open for 6 weeks.
