Chicken Taos With Rice Recipe
- 8 boned, skinned chicken breasts
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. minced onions
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. bottled chili sauce
- 1 c. chicken stock
- 1/4 c. sherry
- 3 c. warm cooked rice
- Roll chicken in combined flour, salt, and pepper.
- Brown in butter.
- Push chicken to one side and add in the onions; saute/fry till transparent.
- Stir in remaining ingredients, except rice.
- Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 35 min.
- Serve chicken and sauce over beds of fluffy rice.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
