Cabbage with porcupine balls
- 30 oz beef broth or what ever broth if you dont eat beef
- 5 lb cabbage about one large head
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 1 1/3 lb ground meat
- 1 1/2 cup cooked jasmine rice, or your favorite
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 1/2 cup whole milk or whatcha got
- 1/2 cup plain panko breadcrumbs
- 3/4 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin
- 3 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- Boil your cabbage in broth and water add salt and garlic
- Mix all the ingredients to the porcupine balls form little balls about half the size of a golf ball
- Fry the balls in the frying pan with about 3 tablespoons of olive oil turn often as not to burn when browned add to top of cabbage as they will steam this makes about 60 porcupine balls
- Keep cabbage boiling mix half the cup of water with cornstarch mix till looking like milk add to boiling cabbage stir it will thicken a bit serve after sitting 15 minutes covered hope you enjoy
