Amish Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

  1. Grind raisins and peanuts through food grinder, set aside.
  2. Combine flour, baking pwdr,
  3. salt, nutmeg and cinnamon, in a very large bowl.
  4. Cut in crisco till mix is fine crumbs.
  5. Add in grnd raisin mix, sugar and oats, mix well, using hands if necessary.
  6. In small
  7. bowl dissolve soda in butter lowfat milk.
  8. Add in molasses and 3 Large eggs.
  9. Beat well, till well blended.
  10. Add in to flour mix, mix well with spoon.
  11. Drop by heaping Tbsp.
  12. onto greased
  13. baking sheets.
  14. Flatten with the bottom of a floured glass to 2 1/2 inch round.
  15. Beat
  16. remaining egg till well blended, brush tops of each round.
  17. Bake at 375 for 8-10 min.
