Spinach Dip

  1. In a medium bowl, melt margarine over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, cook until onion is tender; stirring occasionally.
  3. Add cream cheese and milk; cook and stir until smooth.
  4. Stir in spinach, lemon peel, lemon juice, sauce and pepper.
  5. If desired, heat through.
  6. Atir in half the bacon or red sweet peppers and milk until reaching desired dipping consistency.
  7. Sprinkle with remaining bacon or sweet pepper.
  8. Note: For a healthier version I use the peppers instead of the bacon.
