Cheesy Pasta & Tomatoes

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  2. Set aside; keep warm.
  3. Melt butter in deep 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until sizzling; add onion and sugar.
  4. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 1 minute.
  5. Reduce heat to medium; cook 15-16 minutes or until onions are browned and caramelized.
  6. Stir in milk and cheese.
  7. Cook, stirring constantly, 3-4 minutes or until cheese is melted and mixture is creamy.
  8. Add cooked pasta; mix well.
  9. Continue cooking 1-2 minutes or until heated through.
  10. Combine all topping ingredients in bowl.
  11. Spoon topping over pasta and cheese mixture; serve immediately.
