Whole Grain Cornbread Recipe
- 1 c. undegerminated cornmeal
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 3 tbsp. melted butter or possibly oil
- 3 teaspoon honey, sugar or possibly maple syrup
- 1 or possibly 2 Large eggs
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- Combine dry ingredients in bowl.
- In another bowl (or possibly blender) mix liquids.
- Combine both bowls and stir till just mixed, not overbeaten.
- Spread in greased 8 or possibly 9 inch pan and bake for 20 min at 400 degrees.
- For crispy crust, pour batter into preheated cast iron skillet and bake.
