Chocolate and blackberry slice recipe
- 300 g (10.6oz) Dark chocolate
- 225 g (7.9oz) Unsalted butter
- 200 g (7.1oz) Milk chocolate, chopped
- 175 g (6.2oz) Blackberries
- 50 g (1.8oz) Walnuts
- 75 g (2.6oz) Self-raising flour
- 3 Eggs
- 225 g (7.9oz) Light muscavado sugar
- Preheat the oven to 190C, melt the dark chocolate in a bain marie (or use a glass bowl over a saucepan of boiling water) and stir in the butter until melted.
- Remove from the heat.
- Mix the flour with the milk chocolate and walnuts, in a separate bowl beat the eggs and sugar.
- Pour the melted chocolate and butter into the egg mixture, beat together and stir in the flour, milk chocolate, blackberries and walnuts.
- Transfer to a greased and lined baking tin and bake in the oven for 40mins.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 1 hour.
- Cut into squares and serve with the clotted cream, blackberries topped with mint and a dusting of icing sugar
