Smoked Pork Chops With Sweet Sour Cabbage Recipe
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1 med. head cabbage, coarsely shredded
- 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 teaspoon caraway seed
- 1/4 c. cider vinegar
- 6 smoked pork loin chops, each cut about 1 inch thick
- About 2 1/4 hrs before serving: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- In small skillet over medium heat, in warm butter, cook onion, stirring occasionally, till tender, about 5 min.
- In 13x9 inch baking pan, lightly toss onion, cabbage, flour, sugar and caraway seed; pour vinegar over mix.
- Top with chops.
- Cover lightly with foil and bake 1 3/4 hrs or possibly till cabbage and meat are fork tender.
